SAFETY DEVICE FOR AXLE SYSTEM OVERLOAD OF POWERED VEHICLE

PURPOSE:To cut off a power transmission system as required by means of remote control by supporting an armature, equipped with one clutch tooth of an electromagnetic tooth clutch, so as to be swiveled in one body with the input side rotary axis and also axially movable. CONSTITUTION:In case some abnormality occurs on a motor side or on the generator side during traveling, and voltage is applied on an electromagnetic coil 35, since the generated magnetic flux, passes from a field core 8 to a rotor 5 and an armature 7, and the excited armature 7 compresses a return spring 9 and is magnetically attracted by the rotor 5, interlock between a clutch tooth 14 and 17 is released and connection between an input side rotary axis 3 and a tube shaft 18 is also released, therefore, a motor or an axis 1 of the generator is separated from the axle side with a tooth clutch B to be released by generation of overload, remaining in a state of engagement and a situation of forced rotation of the motor or the generator caused from the load side can be avoided. Thus, enlargement of a trouble can be certainly avoided by means of only switch operation.
