CONTROLLER FOR ELEVATOR

PURPOSE:To reduce the cost of a controller for an elevator by operating a converter also as an emergency inverter which supplies the output of the converter to an emergency voltage converter. CONSTITUTION:When a power is interrupted, a power interruption detector 15 generates a power interruption detection signal to open contacts 16, 17, 88, 90 and to close contacts 89, 91. When the contact 91 is closed, an alternating control signal generator 80 is connected to a converter 35 to control a transistor of the converter 35 by a gate signal from the converter. Thus, the converter 35 generates a single phase AC power, which is inputted to a voltage converter 81. In this manner, the DC power of the voltage substantially equal to that at the normal operation time is supplied to the respective controllers.
