DRAIN FLUSHING DEVICE

PURPOSE:To stabilize drain flow, and to prevent water level fluctuation, erosion, and noise in a drain tank, by providing a bottom plate having inclined surfaces to the tank which is located on the top of a drain introducing chamber, and by gradually decreasing the uprising speed of the drain by the inclined surfaces. CONSTITUTION:The bottom plate 31 of a drain tank 30 is composed of inclined surfaces 31a and flat parts 31b, and end-plates 33 are provided at both outer ends of the flat parts 31b. The drain coming up to the top of a drain introducing chamber 21 branches off to the right and the left along the inclined surfaces 31a, flowing into the drain tank 30, decreasing its speed, and flows on the flat parts 31b toward the end-plates 33 at very low speed. At that time, the surface area of a drain tank 30 is wide enough and the speed of drain flow is lowered by the inclined surfaces of the bottom plate, so that the steam rate for flushing per unit area of the drain surface is low, and flushing action of the drain is completed before it reaches the weir-plates 33.
