Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE:To provide a water-based chipping-resistant paint capable of forming a highly thick-walled flat film by baking in a short time at a high temp., by blending a specified powdered filler with an emulsified modified conjugated diolefin/arom. vinyl compd. copolymer latex. CONSTITUTION:100-500pts.wt. powdered filler having a surface area of 4,000- 40,000cm /g and such particle size distribution that fine particles having a particle size below 22mu account for 5-10pts.wt. of the entire particles, is blended with 100pts.wt. (on a solid basis) emulsified copolymer latex having a particle of 1,600-4,000Angstrom and composed of a conjugated diolefin/arom. vinyl compd. modified with an ethylenically unsaturated monomer having amide groups and an ethylenically unsaturated carboxylic acid. When automotive finish coat is put on the surface of the film of the resulting paint, the paint exhibits excellent finish coatability.
