Zusammenfassung:PURPOSE:To enhance propulsion performance of a propeller, by providing a fluid deviation member for pushing away rapid upward flow from a ship's bottom to the outside at a lower end of a stern portion ahead of a propeller, so as to allow slow flow along a broadside to be introduced into a rotary operational plane of the propeller. CONSTITUTION:There is provided at a lower end of a stern portion 11 of a hull a fluid deviation member 12 symmetric with respect to a vertical axis. The fluid deviation member 12 is formed in such a shape that its upper surface 15 is straight and its lower surface 16 is in S-shape. The length (l1) of the member 12 is almost same as a diameter Dp of a propeller 13, and the member 12 is located ahead of the propeller and away therefrom by the distance (l2) same as the diameter Dp. Rapid flow 2 from a ship's bottom is pushed away along the lower surface 16 of the fluid deviation member 12 to the outside, and slow flow 1 along a broadside is led downwardly to be efficiently introduced into a rotary operational plane of the propeller 13, thereby improving propulsion performance of the propeller 13.
