Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE:To improve the adhesion of paints, by treating the surface of an article made of polyphenylene sulfide resin with a mixed solution of hydrogen peroxide and acetic acid and carrying out coating. CONSTITUTION:An article made of polyphenylene sulfide resin is immersed in an aq. soln. contg. 10-90pts.wt. hydrogen peroxie and 90-10pts.wt. acetic acid to treat its surface and then subjected to coating. Said aq. soln. may be prepd. by mixing commercially available hydrogen peroxide soln. having a concn. of 31% and aq. acetic acid soln. having a concn. of 99% so as to give the above composition and diluting the mixture. As coating materials, any of commercially available water paint, emulsion paint, oil paint, lacquer, varnish, etc. can be used.
