COLORING OR COLOR ADJUSTMENT OF COATING COMPOUND OF WET POWDER

PURPOSE:To color a coating compound of wet powder for covering buildings, structures, etc. and to adjust its color at low cost easily, by blending an aqueous phase dispersion containing colored pigment with fine powder of solid resin containing no colored pigment. CONSTITUTION:(A) Fine powder of solid resin (e.g., one containing a thermosetting resin such as epoxy resin, etc.) containing no colored pigment is prepared previously. (B) An aqueous phase dispersion containing colored pigment obtained by dispersing (i) effective colored pigment and optionally (ii) metallic powder pigment and (iii) a vehicle resin [in an amount to give a weight ration of it to the component A calculated as solid material of preferably (10/1)-(1/10)] in an aqueous phase is prepared separately. The component A is blended with the component B to give the desired coating compound. EFFECT:High cost not only in production process but also in coating can be improved. The desired color for coating can be obtained by mixing color adjustment between aqueous phase dispersions, or between primary color coating compounds of wet powder containing fine powder of solid resin after preparation.
