METHOD FOR COATING UNDERPART OF CAR BODY

PURPOSE:To prevent deterioration in the fine appearance of a paint film formed by slipper dip system reverse coating, by dipping a car body in a soln. of a powder paint for electrodeposition, removing the soln. on the body except the underpart, coating the underpart by electrodeposition, and coating other part by electrodeposition. CONSTITUTION:In the slipper dip system reverse coating of the underpart of a car body, the car body is put once in a soln. of a powder paint for electrodeposition or a thick film type paint for electrodeposition. When the car body appears again to the surface of the soln., the body except the underpart is washed to remove the soln., and the underpart is coated by electrodeposition. Other part is then coated by conventional electrodeposition. The fine appearance of the coated body is not deteriorated.
