Zusammenfassung: | PURPOSE:To prepare maltopentaose, industrially, by culturing a microbial strain belonging to Bacillus genus and capable of producing maltopentaose, under aerobic condition. CONSTITUTION:Bacillus cereus NY-14 (FERM-P No.6648) is inoculated in a medium containing a polysaccharide containing alpha-1,4-glucoside.glucose, e.g. starch, amylopectin, amylose, dextrin, etc. and other essential nutrients. The concentration of polysaccharide in the medium is maintained to 2-20%. After inoculation, the bacterial cell is cultured aerobically at about 30 deg.C for 24-48hr to produce and accumulate maltopentaose in the cuture liquid. The liquid is filtered, and the filtrate is subjected to the gel-filtration, a chromatography such as ion exchange chromatograhy, etc. to obtain purified maltopentaose. |
