CASTING DEVICE PROVIDED WITH AUTOMATIC CHARGING DEVICE

PURPOSE:To produce a die cast product having high quality contg. no foam, by controlling the high-speed start point of the injectin speed of molten metal according to the detected amt. of the molten metal to be charged by an automatic charging device in a die casting machine. CONSTITUTION:The casting weight W of a die cast product and the bore of a sleeve are beforehand inputted to an arithmetic section 25 in the stage of charging molten metal into the sleeve of a die casting machine and casting the same under pressure with a tip. The position L of the tip which presses the molten metal in the sleeve is stored with D LrXpi/4=W where the specific gravity of the molten metal is defined as (r) in order to determine the point of the time when the molten metal is filled in the sleeve in the stage of starting high speed casting. The amt. of the molten metal 19 in a vessel 16 detected with a load detector 20 mounted to the arm 15 of the automatic charging device is detected and the detected value thereof is inputted to the section 25. A motor 22 is driven by the calculated signal of the section 25 according to the weight of the metal 19, and a screw shaft 23 is rotated by said motor to move a rod 9 mounted to the tip by means of a lever 11 so that the high speed casting is started at the correct tip position L.
