SEAT BELT DEVICE FOR AUTOMOBILE

PURPOSE:To effectively carry heavy load in a device which mounts the anchor of a seat belt on a seat, by securing a support rail on the body of an automobile alongside the seat and engaging an interfering element in the support rail so that the element carries load from the anchor. CONSTITUTION:A support rail 4, which has a nearly C-shaped cross section and has an opening 41 that faces a seat 1, is provided on the body 10 of an automobile which is opposed to the side of the cushion part 11 of the seat. An anchor 50, on which one end of a seat belt 5 is secured, and an interfering element 6, which is fitted in the support rail 4, are attached to the side of the cushion part 11 of the seat 1. A hinge element 21, which is located on the cushion part 11, is provided with an inserting through hole 21a and a nut 23 secured on the inside of the hinge element. A bolt 7 is screwed in the nut 23 to support the anchor 50 at one end and the interfering element 6 by inserting-through. The interfering element 6 comprises a securing part 61 through which the bolt 7 is inserted, and an engaged part 62 loosely fitted in the rail 4.
