DISPLAY DEVICE

PURPOSE:To make a viewer recognize easily a fact that he approaches excessively a television receiver, by providing a detector for detecting a fact that an obstacle approaches abnormally the television receiver, and changing a color of display of a receiving channel indicator when the obstacle approaches abnormally. CONSTITUTION:In case when a viewer 4 watches television without approaching it abnormally, an output of a distance detecting circuit 7 is in an ''L'' level, therefore, a transistor (TR) 15 is turned on, a green receiving channel display is executed by green LEDs 1-8-1-14. In case when the viewer 4 approaches abnormally a television receiver 2, the output of the distance detecting circuit 7 becomes an ''H'' level, and power-supply voltage +Vcc is applied to a terminal A1 through a TR8. As a result, the receiving channel is displayed in red by red LEDs 1-1-1-7.
