Zusammenfassung:PURPOSE:To reduce power consumption without loading the weight of a filter medium on a conveying device, by providing a bottom plate to a discharging port from a filtering layer and conveying the medium deposited on the bottom plate, in a case of using the filter medium of a vertical type filtering layer by continuously circulating the filter medium. CONSTITUTION:Gas containing soot particle is flowed into a casing from a gas inlet port 6 and is passed through a filtering layer 4 through a screen 3. The soot particle sticks to a filter medium and deposits on it. The purified gas is discharged from a gas outlet port 15. A granular solid particle such as ore or river sand is charged into the filtering layer 4. The filter medium is sent to the lower side of the layer 4 and is made to deposit on a bottom plate 9. The medium is sent to a vibrating screen by a discharging device 10 to separate the medium from the soot particle. The cleaned medium is conveyed by a bucket conveyer and is discharged into the filtering layer 4.
