Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE:To obtain the automatic voltage regulator, in which there is no contact point, by incorporating a voltage setter into a controller and digitally processing voltage. CONSTITUTION:A voltage setting section 22 executes automatic processing in which a voltage set value is counted up or counted down in response to the polarity at a counting rate corresponding to the absolute value of an output signal from the reactive-power regulator 22 when there is no UP/DOWN signal. When there is an UP/DOWN signal, on the other hand, the setting section executes manual processing in which the voltage set value is counted up or counted down in response to UP and DOWN signals and SLOW and FAST signals. Accordingly, the contacts of the automatic voltage regulator can be removed because a potentiometer is unnecessitated.
