PULVERIZED COAL COMBUSTION METHOD

PURPOSE:To prevent production of an unburnt content and to save a crushing power, by supplying in an adequate place pulverized coal, being different in a particle size, suitable for an atmospheric temperature. CONSTITUTION:The particle size and burning-out time of pulverized coal widely differ depending on an atmospheric temperature. Meanwhile, temperature distribution within a furnace is such that the temperature of a burner at the center of a furnace is maximum, and the temperature at a spot in the vicinity of a burner on the wall side of a furnace is low. Pulverized coal from a 60mum pulverizing device 12-1 is supplied to burners 14-3-3 and 14-3-4 centrally located in a furnace, and that from a 50mum pulverizing device 12-2 is supplied to burners 14-3-2 and 14-3-5 close to centrally situated in the furnace, and that from a 40mum pulverizing device 12-3 is supplied to burners 14-3-1 and 14-3-6 positioned on the furnace wall side. As noted above, pulverzied coal, being different in a particle size, is classified by a burner on each row for supply, and this causes the pulverized coal to be completely burnt out leaving no unburnt content. Further, it is unnecessary to pulverize the coal excessively, resulting in saving of a crushing power.
