Zusammenfassung: | PURPOSE:To efficiently heat a billet, by using the fuel in which all or two different kinds of gases, containing coke oven gas (COG), of coke oven gas (COG), blast furnace gas (BFG), and converter gas (LDG) are mixed so as to generate a lower calorific value in the range of 3,500-4,600kcal/Nm . CONSTITUTION:In case the lower calorific value of an M gas is in the range of 3,500-4,600kcal/Nm (4,600kal/Nm is COG unit), fuel consumption can be reduced to a low value and a heating efficiency is almost equalized. Thus, if COG is excessive, the lower calorific value of an M gas is set to a value near 4,600kcal/Nm , and if COG is in the short supply, it is set to a value close to 3,500kcal/Nm to burn and heat a steel piece in a combustion furnace, resulting in obtaining a heating efficiency approximately at the same level. This enables effective utilization of byproduct gas and efficient heating of the billet. |
