OIL-IN-WATER TYPE EMULSIFIED COMPOSITION FOR EXTERNAL SKIN USE

PURPOSE:A composition, prepared by incorporating an aqueous solution containing a polysaccharide, sucrose ester of a fatty acid, caseinate and polyhydroxy compound with an oily substance or further water, having improved stability without irritation to the skin in the form of a cosmetic having improved luster, etc. CONSTITUTION:An oil-in-water type emulsified composition prepared by incorporating and emulsifying a system consisting of (A) 0.01-1.5wt% polysaccharide, (B) 0.1-6.0wt% sucrose ester of a fatty acid having within 2.0-16.0HLB range, (C) 0.1-8.0wt% caseinate and (D) 1.0-30.0wt%, expressed in terms of the anhydrous substance, polyhydroxy compound with an oily substance or further water. A water-soluble polysaccharide, e.g. polysaccharide produced by microorganisms, seed polysaccharide, seaweed polysaccharide, etc. is used as the polysaccharide, and sodium caseinate, on ethanolamine caseinate, etc. is used as the component (B). An alkylene glycol, sugar alcohol, etc. is used as the component (C).
