Zusammenfassung:PURPOSE:To allow monitoring invariably at a stationary state regardless of the rotation variation by using the winding rotation number as a synchronization signal of the luminous frequency of a stroboscope in a continuously-monitoring device of a surface-wound winder for winding the product at a paper-making plant in particular. CONSTITUTION:A winding diameter D and a winding speed V are detected by detectors 11, 12, and a rotation number N=V/piD is calculated by a calculator 13 based on the winding diameter D and winding speed V. An output signal N corresponding to this rotation number N is fed into an oscillator 14, which generates a pulse signal with a frequency (f) proportional to the winding rotation number N, and the signal is fed to a stroboscope 15 as an external synchronization signal, thus allowing the stroboscope 15 to luminesce in synchronization with the winding rotation number N and illuminating the cutting plane and surface of the wound product, and defects shown on both surfaces are found early in the production process.
