Zusammenfassung:PURPOSE:To regenerate a metallic filter at a very high efficiency by a method wherein a metallic filter stuck with a polyolefin based resin is heat-treated in an atmosphere of low oxygen concentration in a predetermined temperature range. CONSTITUTION:A metallic filter such as a metallic net filter stuck with the polyolefin based resin such as a polyethylene resin is heat-treated in an atmosphere with an oxygen concentration of not higher than 1%. The heat treating temperature is not lower than the decomposition starting point of the polyolefin based resin and up to 500 deg.C, prefereably 370-420 deg.C. The atmosphere of low oxygen concentration is preferably obtained by replacing with an inert gas such as nitrogen or helium. Accordingly, a high regenerating efficiency can be achieved in a very short period of time without causing changes or damages in the filtering performance.
