CONSTITUTION:A slurry mixed with abrasive grains and water is acceleratively projected with high pressure water to a hot-rolled steel strip to descale the steel strip by wet blasting. A 0.2-0.5% surfactant is added into the high pressure water to be used for the descaling in this stage. Otherwise, the surface of the steel strip is washed with washing water contg. 0.2-0.5% surfactant after the descaling. Alcanol amide, sodium alkyl benzene sulfonate, sodium dodecyl benzene sulfonate, etc. are used as the surfactant.
