SECONDARY AIR SUPPLYING DEVICE FOR INTERNAL-COMBUSTION ENGINE

PURPOSE:To reduce the noise of an exhaust valve and permit to prevent bad affection due to water by a method wherein a non-clean space and a clean space are partitioned by a filter element assembly and the secondary air is sent into the engine from a lower expanding chamber through a small hole. CONSTITUTION:Suction air from an air intake port 2a enters into the clean air chamber 1b from the non-clean space 1a of an air cleaner 1 through the filter element assemboy 4, then, enters into the expanding chamber 21 through a secondary air intake port 34a, a secondary air introducing path 34 and the small hole 33a and, further, flows into the engine through a control valve 24 and a reed valve 23. The noise from the exhaust valve or the like is attenuated by the expanding chamber 21, the path 34, the clean space 1b and the like while the water, invading into the intake port 2a together with air, is carried to the exhaust system of the engine upon supplying the secondary air through the expanding chamber 12 lower than the small hole 33a of the path 34 and, therefore, the bad affection due to the water may be prevented.
