REMOTE CONTROL RECEIVER

PURPOSE:To prevent malfunction of a remote control receiver caused by remote control signals having word numbers other than proper ones, by counting the bit number of a transmitting code and, only when the bit number is regular one, executing the instruction indicated by the transmitting code. CONSTITUTION:The remote control receiver is equipped with a bit number decision means 6 which deciding that whether or not the number of bits received so far is regular one when the transmitting code interval reaches a time corresponding to a word interval. The bit number decides means 6 decides whether or not the number of bits received so far, namely, the number of bits counted by a bit counter 1 is equal to a regular one. When it is decided that the number of bits received so far is equal to regular one, a control circuit 5 compares contents of the 1st and 2nd transmitting record holding means 3 and 4 with each other and checks whether they coincide with each other or not. When they coincide with each other, the instruction is executed. When they do not coincide with each other, the content of the 1st transmitting record holding means 3 is transferred to the 2nd transmitting record holding means 4 and reception of the 2nd word is statrted.
