RUST DETECTOR FOR AERIAL WIRE

PURPOSE:To eanble a safe inspection of generation of rust depending on the hot- line state by arranging a rust detector so as to be mounted on an aerial wire and run smoothly on a cable to be inspected as a gondora does on a ropeway. CONSTITUTION:An overhang shaft 2 is fixed on a base 1 of an aerial vessel and a pair of tapered pulleys 3 and 4 different in the taper angle are mounted on the shaft 2 facing each other's small diameter section. A gate 13 is mounted in front of the tapered pulleys 3 and 4 are mounted with the head of the shaft 2 sticking out. The aerial vessel hangs with the pulleys 3 and 4 by slipping a cable 20 to be inspected through an opening 22 while the gate 13 is slid upward by lifting a handle 9 to expand the opening 22 thereby facilitating the insertion of the cable 20 to be inspected. A rust detection coil 23 is mounted on a base 1 so as to contact the outer surface of the calbe 20 to be inspected and the detection signal is oscillated carried on an FM wave.
