Zusammenfassung: | PURPOSE:To make a high speed scanning and obtain the number of high resolution points, and further make the scanning in both upward-downward and left and right directions with one device by obtaining a linear electric field distribution in crystal. CONSTITUTION:A circular light beam F having a plane E of polarization is inputted from an optical modulator 22 to an electrooptic crystal surface 11a. While the switch of the modulator 22 is off, the plane E is still vertical and the beam F is inputted to the surface 11a. The beam F is deflected to left and right by electrodes 12-15, and 16-19 and converged by a condenser lens 21 to deflect a slot to left and right. The switch 22a is turned on to apply a voltage between electrodes 22c and 22d of the modulator, and the plane E of polarization of the beam F is rotated by 90 deg. to obtain a horizontal plane G of polarization. When the G is inputted to the surface 11a, the slot is deflected vertically. Therefore, the spot is scanned up and down about a center O when the voltage V of a power source 20 is varied and polarity switching is carried out with the switch 23. |
