CONTROLLING METHOD OF AIR CONDITIONER

PURPOSE:To improve the operating efficiency and the reliability of an air conditioner by connecting the drive motor for a compressor of the air conditioner to the output side of an inverter, thereby eliminating the control of stopping and starting the compressor. CONSTITUTION:The output of an inverter 34 is supplied to a main motor 24, and supplied to a drive motor 36 for a compressor of an air conditioner for cooling the inverter 34. The motor 36 for the compressor is operated under variable speed control simultaneously with the motor 24. On the other hand, a drive motor 42 for a blower of the conditioner supplies cold air at the prescribed air velocity by the power from a power source line 46 to eliminate the refrigeration of the evaporator of the conditioner. The refrigerating cpacity of the conditioner at this time is substantially balanced with the loss occurred by the inverter 34 to control the motor 24 at the variable speed.
