DETECTOR FOR COORDINATE OF TWO-DIMENSIONAL POSITION

PURPOSE:To reduce the space of a device and simplify connections and handle X-axis and Y-axis electrodes simultaneously by superimposing leading-out electrodes of X-axis and Y-axis conductive piece groups in two, namely, upper and lower stages to reduce the width of leading-out electrodes to half. CONSTITUTION:Leading-out electrodes 4 of X-axis conductive piece groups are constituted as the upper stage, and leading-out electrodes 5 of Y-axis conductive piece groups are constituted as the lower stage. An insulating sheet 6 or the like is arranged between both leading-out electrodes in the part, where one of them is put on the other, to prevent the short-circuit between them. Leading-out electrodes are superimposed in two, upper and lower stages in this manner to reduce the width of leading-out electrodes to half, and as the result, the width of connection cords is reduced to half to reduce the space of the device. Since a receptacle with two, upper and lower stages as a set can be used in case of cord connection, connection and disconnection of cords are simplified, and X-axis and Y-axis electrodes can be handled simultaneously.
