CONTROL DEVICE OF ROLL TEMPERATURE

PURPOSE:To control the temperature of a roll in accordance with the roll temperature distributing conditions by installing a roll cooling means by cooling water as well as an induction heating means for roll heating and controlling the partial temperature of roll in the lowering direction of roll temperature as well as in the elevating direction. CONSTITUTION:Plural nozzles 2 enabled to separately control the discharging water flow rate of each nozzle are provided, as a cooling means 3 to a rolling roll 1 of a mill in the direction of roll axis. Further, plural heating coils 5 enabled to separately control the degree of heating of each heating coil 5 by applying a high-frequency electric current to the coils 5 through electric sources 7 and transformers 6 are provided as a heating means 4 to the other side of roll 1 in its axial direction. Then, the temperature of roll 1 is controlled in accordance with the temperature distributing conditions of roll 1 by controlling the partial temperature of roll 1 in the lowering direction thereof as well as in the elevating direction.
