Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE:To provide the titled bucket which has excellent resistance to heat, corrosion and wear, is light in weight and has a long service life, prepd. by lining with a refractory material obtd. by burning a formed product made of fire-resistant powder consisting of Al2O3, SiO2 and MgO. CONSTITUTION:The bucket for a dry process coke quencher is lined with a refractory material prepd. by burning a formed product made of fire-resistant powder consisting of 20-40wt% Al2O3, 50-70wt% SiO2 and 3-10wt% MgO. A conventional bucket made of steel plate and lined on the outside with a heat- resistant cast steel liner by welding requires padding or replacement after about six months' service, due to deformation, cracking and wear under repetition of severe heat cycles involving reception, transport and discharge of red-hot coke at about 1,050 deg.C. In addn., the weight of bucket increases when it has sufficient thickness to stand the hard service. A light-weight bucket having a long service life is obtd. when it is lined with the refractory material of this invention.
