ORIGINAL CARRYING DEVICE

PURPOSE:To prevent the quality of a picture from being deteriorated by providing a thin plate member fixed to a glass plate side between a feeding roller and the glass plate to constitute that the surface of an original fed between the feeding roller and the thin plate member is not brought into contacted with a reading point by a step difference formed by one end of the thin plate member to the glass plate. CONSTITUTION:The original 2 on an original supply plate 1 is fed one by one with sheet while separation by a separator 4 and a paper feeding roller 3. A supplied original 2 is clippled by the thin plate member 18 fixed between the feeding roller 5 and the glass plate 6 and then fed further. Further, the original 12 reaching the reading point 12 is read by the image sensor by a lamp 13 and a mirror 14, fed further by a paper discharge roller 9 and a plate spring 10 and the reading is finished. The original 2 fed by the feeding roller 5 is floated from the glass plate 6 by a step difference B, and since the distance A is small, the normal original used in a facsimile is not contacted on the surface of the glass plate 6 at the reading point 12.
