AUTOMATIC POLISHING METHOD AND DEVICE FOR TRANSFORMED PIPE PRODUCT

PURPOSE:To improve the quality of a transformed pipe product and the workability of the captioned device by supporting said product by means of a unit chuck, and polishing it while allowing the chuck to selectively perform a semi- circular arc reciprocating motion and a linear reciprocating motion following the outer shape of a curved line of said body to be polished. CONSTITUTION:A unit chuck 12 for allowing bodies B (B1-B3) to be polished having a complicated outer shape such as a discharge pipe, etc., used for the faucet of a sanitary apparatus is suspended from a movable board 2 selectively performing, while interlocked with a rocking motor and an operating cylinder, a semi-circular arc reciprocating motion and a linear reciprocating motion. And, a body B to be polished supported on this unit chuck 12 is polished on a polishing central line C. Therefore, the surface of the body B during traveling on the polishing central line C is uniformly polished while allowing a pair of polishing wheels 20 turning on its axis without tangential line putting the polishing central line C therebetween to turn on its axis and revolve round the polishing central line C.
