Zusammenfassung:PURPOSE:To heighten the rate of operation in the manufacturing of an electric welded tube as well as to improve a yield rate, by installing an infeed depth variable device capable of altering the infeed depth with remote control. CONSTITUTION:When a cutting tool 10 gets worn, the cutting tool 10 is rotated with a rotary joint 21 rotated outside an electric welded tube 2, while a portion where the cutting tool 10 is not yet worn is made so as to come into contact with a welded bead. Adjustment of the infeed depth of the cutting tool 10 takes place in a way of rotating a rotary joint 17 and making a copy roll 9 move up and down. Since the infeed depth adjustment and rotation of the cutting tool can be done with remote control from outside the electric welded tube, not only operation is performable in a short time but also it can do without cutting the electric welded tube. What is more, the cutting tool is used with rotation all the time so that service life in this tool is much lengthened.
