SIGNAL DETECTION DOME

PURPOSE:To prevent the generation of noise to a signal detection dome from a self-noise or the like incident into a hull-dome from behind by arranging an acoustic window of a signal detection dome, hull-dome, to be non-parallel with the axial direction of a cylindrical signal detection dome transmitter/receiver housed in the hull-dome. CONSTITUTION:An acoustic window 13 of a signal detection dome, hull-dome 11 is formed roughly spherical and a signal detection dome receiver 2 is housed in the hull-dome 11. The transmitter 2 adds waves incident into elements 4 of the transmitter/receiver by the unit of a stave 5 as axial set and displays the results as reception output. Therefore, as the acoustic window 13 is not parallel with the axial direction of the transmitter/receiver 2, reflected waves from the acoustic window 13 enter elements 4 of the same stave 5 in different phases though a self-noise 6 or the like incident into the hull-dome from behind reflects on the acoustic window 13. This prevents the generation of a noise to the signal detection dome from the self-noise 6 or the like from behind to avoid undesired increase in an added value in the stave unit.
