Zusammenfassung: | A device for monitoring the distance between at least one reference point on a vehicle and the carriageway is proposed, contactless distance measuring devices (15, 17, 23, 25) serving to measure the distance, the principle of the said devices (15, 17, 23, 25) being based on a propagation time measurement of a signal, in particular of a wave which is transmitted and received again. An evaluation device (18, 19, 26) switches on a warning device (27, 28, 29) when there is a deviation from a prescribed distance, the said warning device (27, 28, 29) indicating for example an excessively low tyre pressure, and/or a level adjustment device (20) serves to compensate the changed position. At the same time, for example the level of the headlights or the level of the entire body of the vehicle can be corrected. The device according to the invention is characterised by simple attachment without a large degree of expenditure on adjustment, as a result of which a cost-effective solution is achieved which can also be easily retrofitted. |
