POWER STEERING DEVICE

PURPOSE:To provide a good steering feeling by making the output characteristics of a cylinder to be the same in both directions by using a control valve which switches the flow passage so that both side chambers may be connected to a pump at the time of feeding into the head side chambers. CONSTITUTION:The present power steering device 1 employs a control valve 12 which switches the flow passage to connect a rod side chamber 15 to a pump P and a head side chamber 16 to a tank T at the time of supplying the fluid pressure to the rod side chamber 15 of a cylinder, and to connect the both side chambers 15, 16 to the pump P at the time of supplying to the head side chamber 16. In spite of the simple and inexpensive constitution, the output characteristics of the cylinder can be made same in both directions. Various good effects can be expected from this such as appropriate steering feeling to enhance the performance and improved strength and output by utilizing a larger piston rod diameter.
