KICK STARTING APPARATUS OF INTERNAL-COMBUSTION ENGINE

PURPOSE:To simplify the speed increasing mechanism of a driven shaft and obtain a small-sized and lightweight apparatus by revolving the sun gear on the driven shaft by a planetary gear installed onto a driving shaft and increasing the speed of the driving shaft linked with a kick crank and transmitting said revolution onto the driven shaft. CONSTITUTION:When a driving shaft 22 is revolved in A direction by stepping- in a kick crank 23, a planetary gear 31 rotates and revolves in B direction around a sun gear 28, and the sun gear 28 is revolved with its increased speed in C direction, since each planetary gear 31 axially supported onto a several number of arm parts 29 projectingly installed onto the outer periphery of the boss part 25 of the driving shaft 22 is geared with the sun gear 28 on a driven shaft 24 and the internal gear 32 fixedly formed on a crank case 7. When the driven shaft 24 begins to revolve sharply, a starting gear 36 engaged through a twisted spline 35 on the driven shaft 24 springs-out leftward and engaged with an idle gear 19. Therefore, a crank shaft 11 is revolved through a gear train and a centrifugal clutch 12, and cranking is performed.
