Zusammenfassung:PURPOSE:To make the constitution of a multiplexer and demultiplexer simple and miniature by improving crosstalk properties, by using optical fibers having a core with a function of wavelength selection. CONSTITUTION:Each core of optical fibers 52, 53 constituting the leading-in part of wavelength light which is multiplexed and demultiplexed or the leading- out part of the wavelength light, is provided with a function of wavelength selection. By this function, the crosstalk properties is improved without providing a special treating part, and the constitution of an optical multiplexer and demultiplexer is made simple and miniature.
