INSULATED TROLLEY WIRE

PURPOSE:To manufacture such an insulated trolley wire as being strong in resisting force against torsion and capable of being laid down rectilinearly, by caulking an open conductor to a flange at the opening side of an internal conductor, while coupling an engaging part between the internal conductor and the open conductor with a soldering material. CONSTITUTION:In a beltlike sheet plate, both side edges are open to both ends of one side falnge 2a and bent in an I -cross section form where a web 2b and other side flange 2c become doubled, thus an internal conductor 2 is formed up. And, an open conductor 3 being of lip groove form is externally fitted in the flange 2a of the conductor 2 as in a state of being firmly stuck together and locked by means of caulking, while a brazing material 8 is filled up in space between the side of the flange 2a and the inside surface of a flange 3a of the conductor 3, through which both these conductors 2 and 3 are coupled together. Likewise, in an insulator 5, there is provided with a collector guide groove 6, and the exterior surface of the conductor 3 is exposed to the bottom of this guide groove 6 whereby these conductors 2 and 3 are embedded thereunder. Thus, such an insulated trolley wire as being strong in resisting force against torsion and capable of being laid down rectilinearly is inexpensively manufactured.
