The phase transition liquid crystal obtained by adding the chiral component to the nematic liquid crystal which has high scattering performance and positive dielectric anisotropy is sealed in the upper liquid-crystal layer 14, so the coloring condition of decolored dichroic pigments in the lower liquid crystal 20 is reduced and the phase transition liquid crystal 14 in the upper layer becomes transparent in the colored state by applying a voltage to increase the contrast of the colored layer in the lower layer 20, improving the visibility. |
