Zusammenfassung: | PURPOSE:To measure exactly the eroded region in the bottom refractories of a blast furnace in a short time by punching measuring holes having a small diameter in the bottom well part of the blast furnace in the stage of relining said furnace, inserting a metal detector contg. a transmitting coil and a receiving coil in the measuring holes and measuring output voltage thereof. CONSTITUTION:Measuring holes 12 having a small diameter of about 30-40mm. are punched in the bottom below the tuyere 4 level at some tens points in the horizontal section of a blast furnace in the stage of relining the blast furnace. A metal detector 10 having a detecting part 14 contg. a transmitting coil and a receiving coil at the top end is inserted into the holes 12 and the output voltages in regions A, B, C are read with a voltmeter 16. On the other hand, the relation between the output voltage of the detector 10 and the content of pig iron determined beforehand by preliminary experiment and therefore the content of the pig iron in the measured part is known from the output voltage and the region 9 eroded by the pig iron is exactly measured. |
