Zusammenfassung:PURPOSE:To increase the mechanical strength, to reduce the temperature rise and the size, and to improve the reliability of a stator for a rotary electric machine by reinforcing the coil end unit of a stator coil formed by winding a self-adhesive insulating wire with resin molding. CONSTITUTION:A stator coil 2 is wound by self-adhesive enameled wire, and inserted into slots of a stator core 1 made of a laminate of silicon steel plates. Then, after the coil 2 is wound on the core 1, a current is supplied to the coil 2 to generate heat, the self-adhesive layer is heated and cured to secure the strand of the coil 2 to each other, thereby integrating the entire coil. Subsequently, the overall coil end 10 is molded with molding resin 8 which contains a large quantity of filler such as calcium carbonate, thereby integrating the coil end 10. In this manner, a stator which has large mechanical strength, small temperature rise, small size and high reliability can be readily obtained.
