REUTILIZING METHOD FOR OVERAGE LOW TEMPERATURE LIQUEFIED GAS CARRIER

PURPOSE:To reutilize a hold tank as a freezing warehouse and a refrigerating warehouse for foods, by a method wherein shelves are formed in stages in the hold tank of an overage LNG carrier and a cooling device is also installed. CONSTITUTION:The bow part and the stern part of an overage LNG carrier are cut away, and only a hold part is moored to a pier 9. Shelves 3 made of wood are made in stages in an LNG tank 2 on which a high-degree heat resistant treatment is applied, and containers 4 for containing LNG for cooling are placed on the upper stage thereof. Goods 5 to be storaged, such as foods, are loaded and unloaded through a hatch 7 by means of a crane 8 or the like. This permits reutilization of the heat resistant tank of an overage LNG carrier as a freezing warehouse and a refrigerating warehouse for foods.
