COUNTING PROCESS OF PAPER SHEET COUNTER

PURPOSE:To reduce the load of an operator and to improve the processing efficiency of a paper sheet counter by stopping the paper sheet feed operation when the coincidence is obtained between the paper sheet number set previously and the counted number of sheets put on a stage and therefore storing the count contents to a primary memory. CONSTITUTION:The bank notes put on a stage 2 of the main body 1 of a paper sheet counter are taken out one by one by a conveyor belt 3 and counted by a counting roller 38, a counting switch 45, etc. These counted bank notes are sent to a stage 23 which serves as the 2nd sheet store part. A paper sheet number setting device, a counting operation device containing a primary memory, etc. are provided inside the main body 1. Then the feed of bank notes is stopped by a push-up plate 25 when the bank notes on the stage 2 are all taken out, and the count contents are added to the contents of the primary memory and stored in a main memory. The feed of the bank note is restarted when the bank note is added to the stage 2. Then the bank notes are counted and the count contents are stored in the primary memory. This reduces the load of an operator and improves the processing efficiency of a paper sheet counter.
