DIRECTION DETECTOR

PURPOSE:To detect a moving direction with high accuracy, by such simple constitution that the output of an elastically deformed piezo-resistor strain gauge integrated with an arm elastically deformed by the acceleration during movement is treated with a Wheatstone bridge circuit. CONSTITUTION:An elastically deformable arm 4 is attached to the support post 3 of the pedestal 2 fixed to a moving body and elastically deformable piezo- resistor strain gauges 5, 6 are provided to the different surfaces of both end parts of said arm 4 to constitute a direction detector 1. A Wheatstone bridge is formed of said gauges 5, 6 and the similar strain gauges 7, 8 of the pedestal 2 and the non-equilibrium output of the Wheatstone bridge circuit by the deformation of the gauges 5, 6 caused by centrifugal force generated by acceleration during movement is treated with a voltage amplifier. Whereby, the detection of the moving body is detected with high accuracy by simple constitution.
