Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE:To recover NaOH from a specific concentrated waste liquid, and to enable the reuse of an aluminum oxide compound used in the recovery process, by adding an aluminum oxide compound to a concentrated waste liquid, calcining the mixture, putting the resultant molten product in hot water, and separating the precipitate. CONSTITUTION:A soda digestion waste liquid, oxygen alkali bleach waste liquid, etc. free from sulfur compound and discharged from a paper and pulp industry, is concentrated, added with an aluminum oxide compound [e.g. Al2O3, Al(OH)3, the precipitate to be mentioned later, etc.], and calcined at 600- 1,000 deg.C. The obtained molten product is thrown into hot water to obtain an alkaline solution and precipitate. The precipitate is separated from the solution and reused as the aluminum oxide compound, and sodium hydroxide is recovered from the solution.
