GAS CHROMATOGRAPHY

PURPOSE:To prevent wasteful consumption of power for constant temp. heating and deterioration in the accuracy of temp. control by providing recesses having the volumes different from each other in the covers of plural chambers having thermostatic chambers to which columns can be freely attachably and detachably connected. CONSTITUTION:Thermostatic chambers 1, 2 are provided with a central motor chamber 4 in-between. A column connecting port 10 penetrated through the inside front and rear surfaces of the chamber bodies 1a, 2a is provided on the outside of a net 8 and columns 9a, 9b are freely attachably and detachably connected thereto. A sample feed port 11 is provided on the front wall of the bodies 1a, 2a and a detector 12 on the rear wall. Recesses 1c, 2c of which the inside surfaces constitute a part of the inside volume of the chambers 1, 2 are constituted to respective chamber covers 1b, 2b and the volumes thereof are different from each other. Plural pieces of the covers 1b, 2b having the recesses 1c, 2c of different inside volumes are prepared and are exchanged according to the length of the columns 9a, 9b by removing and inserting the shaft pins of hinges 3, by which the wasteful consumption of power for constant temp. heating and the deterioration in the accuracy of temp. control are prevented.
