Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE:To reduce the leakage of compressed gas by providing pressure relief grooves on the end surface of a rotor for generating almost the same effect as under a condition that there is a very small gap between the end surface of a screw rotor and a casing. CONSTITUTION:Several pressure relief grooves 4 are provided along the outer shape (tooth shape) of four or five teeth and above and below At-O1 astern surface side) and below At-O1 (ahead surface side) are not connected to each other. In addition, the pressure relief groove 4 of one tooth is not connected to the pressure relief groove 4 of other tooth, and the end of each pressure relief groove is closed. Thereby, the leakage through pressure relief grooves 4 is prevented.
