TANK TRANSFER METHOD FROM OLD TO NEW HULL

PURPOSE:To modify the hull efficiently in limited dock section by arranging the old and new hulls in the dock while facing each other then sequentially repeating draw-in of tank into new hull, removal of old hull and construction of new hull. CONSTITUTION:Old hull 5 where the bow is cut-off is arranged in front of a new hull 4 under construction while facing its cut face toward the new hull 4. Then a tank 7 in old hull 5 is pulled into the new hull 4. Thereafter the hull construction A at the tank supporting section of old hull 5 is dismantled and removed while the hull construction B at the tank supporting section of new hull 4 is built. This cycle is repeated to modify the hull of LNG tanker efficiently in limited dock section.
