Zusammenfassung:PURPOSE:To perform efficient replacement of a new ship hull, by a method wherein the tank of an old ship hull is hung down from the under surfaces of an upper deck and wing tanks, the double bottom of the old ship hull is replaced with that of a new ship hull, and after the tank is supported by the new double bottom, the remaining old ship hull part is replaced with the new ship hull part. CONSTITUTION:An LNG carrying ship is moved in a dock, and an LNG tank 1 is hung down from the under surface of an upper deck 2A and the under surfaces of wink tanks 3 on both ships's sides. Thereafter, a double bottom 2C is removed, and is replaced with a double bottom 6C of a new ship hull. The LNG tank 1 is supported on the new double bottom 6C, the upper deck 2A and side platings 2D are removed, their respective members 6A, 6B, and 6D of the new ship hull are placed and connected to their mating parts. When this is compared with a method for replacing with a new ship hull on the sea, it has advantages in that it eliminates the need for transfer of the tank and permits efficient replacement of a ship hull.
