Zusammenfassung:	In a device for the measurement of the concentration of particles (18) in fluids, comprising a sample container (10) having transparent walls (20, 22) a light source (12) for shining a light beam (26) into the sample container (10) essentially at right angles to the transparent walls (20) thereof and a detector (14) for recording at least a proportion of the light scattered by the particles (18), the sample container (10) has on the edge surfaces of its walls (20, 22) light exit surfaces (28, 30) which can be optically coupled to a light admitting element (32) of the detector (14).
