OIL LEVEL GAGE FOR FUEL TANK

PURPOSE:To prevent the projection of a transparent or semitransparent cup- shaped liquid level gage in common use as a drain plug to the lateral side of a fuel tank and the consequent failure of the liquid level gage and to facilitate checking the gage, by mounting said liquid level gage to the bottom plate of the tank from the lower side. CONSTITUTION:The transparent top-opening cup 11 of an oil level gate 10 is freely attachably and detachably mounted to the bottom plate 4 of a tank from the lower side. The cup 11 is made of a transparent resin having sufficient strength, and is mounted to the plate 4 with the outside circumference in the top end part thereof fitted to a sealing grommet 12 of said bottom plate from below. The projection of the liquid level to the lateral side of the tank and the consequent failure of the liquid level gage are prevented and the easy checking of the accumulating condition of sludge or the like at each checking of the oil volume is made possible according to the above-mentioned constitution.
